Amplified Pain Signals in Patients with Back Pain
A new study indicates that patients with low back pain that cannot be traced to a specific physical cause may have abnormal pain-processing pathways in their brains. The altered response to pain, which is yet unexplained, is similar to an altered pain perception effect in patients with fibromyalgia.
