In this month's spotlight, Charma Story shares her take on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs as it relates to someone with chronic pain. Charma writes, "As a person in chronic pain, my needs are a little different— the first need for me is pain control. If my pain isn't under control, I don't care if I have food, shelter, clothing or anything else." Charma also shares how she's learned to take care of herself first, how to remember her own worth, and what she's learned from pain.
