Stress is phenomenon that we must learn to cope with. It is a turbulent storm between your mind and body. Stress occurs when there is either emotional or physiological tension that creates an imbalance in our nervous systems. Resource for Uninsured and Underinsured Individuals Requiring Medical Care
So many people living with chronic pain contact the National Pain Foundation asking what they can do to receive health care after they lost their insurance coverage or their jobs and have used all their resources to receive care. FDA Approves Personal Therapy Manager for Patients with Medtronic Implantable Drug Pumps
The US Food and Drug Administration recently approved the Medtronic Personal Therapy Manager (PTM) for patients with chronic pain and implanted SynchroMed II drug pumps. The PTM allows patients to activate delivery of doctor-prescribed supplemental doses of pain medication to alleviate increased pain. Click here to read more about this new device.

Making Sense of Pain Relief

The National Pain Foundation has joined with the American Chronic Pain Association and the American Pain Foundation, with support from Pfizer, Inc., for an educational campaign designed to help clarify new, and sometimes confusing, information about pain relief for arthritis or joint symptoms.
