Wellness
By: Michael W. Loes, M.D.
The absence of "dys ease" is wellness. Are you slipping? Question yourself now.
Physically, are you dragging in the morning? Are you nauseated even before you look into the fridge? Do you itch, burn, bloat, and smell?
Emotionally, are you angry with someone? Are you having sad thoughts all day? Do you feel envy, bitterness, or just boredom?
Mentally, are you forgetful? Are you unable to follow the story line on a television show? Is you mind racing when you go to bed?
Spiritually, are you feeling worthless, wondering if you are loved? Questioning your spiritual resolve and strength?
Wellness represents a togetherness of your body, emotions, mind and spirit. If you are not "at ease," your healing response needs to perk up to address the early symptoms. Learn how to strengthen your reserves. Some of the answers are simple, like refueling your cellular batteries with water and minerals, getting the energy to flow in the right directions with acupuncture or a deep massage. Perhaps, it is time to pay some reverence to your body rhythm by getting a good night sleep and avoiding alcohol and caffeine after 4 p.m.
Get moving, be sensible, and find the motivation to start the baby steps that will become a healthy healing wind. Read The Circadian Prescription by Sidney Baker, or Genetic Nutritioneering by Jeffrey Bland Ph.D.
